Visiting our clinics

Most of our clinics are open by arrangement only (the exception is East Oxford clinic on Rectory Road which runs some drop-in sessions for under 18s). Please book a telephone consultation via email / phone. Due to an increase in monkeypox cases in the UK, we will ask you extra questions when speaking to you to keep you and our staff safe.

Mask wearing and social distancing remain in place in all our sites. If you have a new continuous cough, a high temperature, or a loss or change to your sense of taste or smell, do not come to a clinic. Follow the national advice on coronavirus (COVID-19).

Unprotected sex – help out of hours

Sometimes it is important to get help quickly if you’ve had unprotected sex (for example, if you need PEPSE or emergency contraception). There are other places you can go to if Oxfordshire Sexual Health Service is closed:

  • PEPSE – go to an Emergency Department (A&E) if you need PEPSE out of hours. See PEPSE for more information.
  • Emergency contraception (morning after pill) – there are several places you can get emergency contraception, including some pharmacies. See emergency contraception for more information.
