Tests done in clinic
Results are usually sent by text message to the mobile number provided by you. This must be to a UK mobile. If you have not got a UK mobile, you will need to call us for your results – please wait at least 10 days before contacting us as it can take this long for your results to come back. We will not be able to view your results sooner than this.
Please call us if you are expecting a text message and it hasn’t arrived after two weeks.
Self-test kits
It can take up to 10 days from the date we receive your sample(s) for your results to come back.
If you ordered your kit via your Personal Health Record, you will need to login to see your results.
If a kit was sent to you via another route (for example, a kit is sent to you following a telephone appointment), your results will not be available in your Personal Health Record. You will receive a text message to the mobile number provided by you instead.
Certificates
If you are undergoing fertility treatment, we can provide official certificates with your STI test results. Please note, there is a fee for this service (£50) and the process can take up to two weeks. To start the process of getting an official certificate, please book an initial telephone appointment:
The next steps are as follows:
- An appointment (non-urgent) will be arranged at our Oxford (Churchill) clinic for an ID check and testing.
- You will receive your results via text.
- You will then be contacted with dates and times to collect your certificate. Please remember to bring photo ID when you re-attend.
- Payment is made at the cashiers office at the Churchill Hospital – cash or card.
Please note: we are unable to issue official certificates for VISA / work / insurance applications.
