If you have been told that somebody you have had sex with has an STI, it is important to get tested.
It helps if you can tell us:
- what infection you have been in contact with
- what treatment your sexual partner received
If you can, do not have sex until we know whether you have the infection.
Contact us for a telephone consultation; you will then be given a clinic appointment if necessary.

HIV
If you think you have been in contact with HIV, it is important to seek help as soon as possible as you may need post-exposure prophylaxis after sexual exposure (PEPSE). See PEPSE for details.
