How to use your vaginal self-test kit
Step 1
Remove the cap from the sample tube, taking care not to spill the liquid.
Step 2
Open the swab by pulling the cap (with the attached swab) off the tube casing. The tube case can then be thrown away.
Step 3
Insert the swab about 2 inches (5cm) into the vagina and turn it gently against the vaginal walls for 10-15 seconds. Remove it carefully, taking care not to touch anything else with the swab.
Step 4
Put the swab into the sample tube and carefully break the shaft at the ‘score mark’, allowing the swab to drop into the tube.
Step 5
Screw the lid back on tightly.
Step 6
Log into your PHR app: you must record each test you are sending back – if you do not do this, your samples WILL NOT be processed.
Step 7
Put all your samples in the clear sample bag and seal tightly by pulling off the foil seal. Place the sample bag back into the box and then into the prepaid envelope.

Disposal of waste items
Any waste items can be placed into general household waste – do not flush down the toilet.
