Sexual function and sexual problems

People can have a range of different sexual difficulties. Sometimes it is difficult to speak about this – it can feel uncomfortable or embarrassing. However, we see lots of people with sexual difficulties and these problems are more common and treatable than you may expect.

We have a range of general resources that we recommend to our patients, which you can find below.

  • Come As You Are podcast – Pushkin
A podcast based on a book with the same name ‘Come as you are’ by sex researcher Emily Nagoski, which provides science-based information on sexuality.
  • The Sexual Wellness Sessions podcast
A podcast by psychosexual and relationship therapist Kate Moyle covering a range of topics, such as parenthood and sex, sex after cancer, neurodiversity and sex, etc.
  • Ferly
An app developed by psychologists and sex therapists to support women with sexual self-care and give guided self-help for sexual problems. It has a section focussing on sexual wellness after trauma.

See how to access to psychosexual therapy if you need further support.
